Highlight matters include:

  • Advised a Japanese bank on the financing of three supramax newbuildings acquired by a Singaporean publicly-listed shipping company.
  • Advised two local banks on the joint financing (via two bilateral loans) of the proposed acquisition of a UK-based holding company worth GBP 260 million, which oversees subsidiaries in the transportation and financial services sectors, by a Singaporean publicly-listed transportation services company. 
  • Assisted in drafting a shipbuilding contract for a cable laying vessel, which is rare given that only around 60 of them exist globally.
  • Advised a Vietnamese airline on a USD 8 billion deal negotiation for the purchase and long-term maintenance of 400 aircraft engines from a Franco-American aircraft engine manufacturer.
  • Advised on a syndicated USD 125 million loan restructuring for an Indonesian conglomerate. 
  • Supported a global financial institution in transitioning bilateral finance documents due to the discontinuation of LIBOR.
  • Played a key role in cross-border M&A involving an Australian publicly-listed stationery distributor and its Singapore subsidiary. 
  • Reviewed and overhauled ISDA documentation for a Singaporean financial institution to meet regulatory requirements.
