As part of Incisive Law’s China Practice Group, Samantha represents clients including foreign corporations and Chinese state-owned enterprises in  Chinese international arbitration disputes under various arbitral institutions and rules (ICC, CIETAC, SIAC, etc).

Highlight matters include:

  • Duncan, Cameron Lindsay and another v Diablo Fortune Inc and another matter [2017] SGHC 172 whereby The Singapore High Court considered the juridical nature of a contractual lien on sub-freights.
  • CIETAC arbitration proceedings involving a dispute over several shipments of steel sold by the Chinese state-owned company to a Spanish steel company.
  • SIAC arbitration proceedings against an Indonesian-based trading company involving a multi-million dollar dispute over the sale and purchase of nickel hydroxide.
