Adrian is an associate who specialises in litigation, arbitration and dispute resolution, with particular emphasis on commercial and shipping disputes. He advises and assists clients on all aspects of contentious matters involving international trade, shareholder disputes, cargo claims and marine casualties in Singapore and across the region.

Adrian also has extensive experience in advisory matters pertaining to general supply agreements, marine insurance, industrial accidents, commercial tenancies, and employment.

Adrian obtained his LLB from the University of Bristol and was admitted to the Singapore Bar in 2017.

He is fluent in English and Mandarin.

Highlight matters include:

  • Assisted in representing the claimant in SIAC arbitration proceedings over a contractual dispute arising from the termination of service agreements worth US$19 million.
  • Assisted in acting for insurers in claim in excess of S$5 million regarding a multi-ship collision involving the dragging of anchors.
  • Assisted in advising Mainboard-listed commodities company and instructing foreign counsel in shareholder dispute involving operational disagreements and repayment of shareholder debts.
  • Assisted in advising shipowner on retention of title clauses in respect of agreements for the supply of bunkers.
  • Represented trading company in claim against former shareholder in relation to the distribution of dividends.
  • Assisted in advising P&I insurers on issues concerning defence cover and extent of liability in relation to workplace injury, cargo and damage claims.
