JUNIOR MARKETING ASSISTANT (SINGAPORE)
A vacancy arisen has for a part time junior marketing role in an international law firm and its local law alliance partner to join a regional Business Development and Marketing team (BDM).
 Additional hours may occasionally be necessary to meet the demands of the business. Flexible working arrangement available on discussion.  For a very junior person, there may be the option to convert this to a full time position if this is of interest. The primary purpose of this role is to assist the Singapore Business Development Manager with the overall provision of BDM Services to the Singapore based legal team. Responsibilities will include event management, data management, business administration, coordinating communications and collateral management and providing digital support (LinkedIn, blogs and back end access to website).

Key responsibilities

>  Work with Singapore lead and other marketing personnel on various local Singapore initiatives.

>  Manage LinkedIn page, uploading to the website and various Blogs.

>  Help field and assist with general marketing information requests from the Singapore based legal team and wider requests from the legal team around the region.

>  Provide support to the Singapore legal team on a wide variety of internal and external activities including submissions for certain external awards and rankings; coordinating responses to routine requests from London  (requests for deal team names, requests to publish an alert, etc.); updating of internal and external website.

>  Manage the distribution of promotional materials, including compilation of targeted mailing lists.

>  Ensure all materials, pitch records, CVs, deals lists and contact/mailing lists are clean, up to date and easily accessible.

>  Plan and manage events, including seminars and sponsorships from inception to completion, to ensure maximum stand-out and ROI.

>  Prepare and coordinate pitches, proposals and, with direction, RFP responses, working with the Business Development Manager. This includes printing of bios and assembly of standard pitch materials/folders for the legal team working on tight deadlines.

>  Using firm systems and software, provide support to members of the Singapore team in development formatting and distribution of client alerts, invitations, follow up and newsletters.

>  Maintain marketing materials – including master client lists, brochures, client alerts, reprints and folders – for the practice and/or office.

>  Update Opportunities to track new and developing business as directed by the Business Development Manager.

>  Maintain practice marketing materials, including practice group descriptions, brochures slide-decks, practice specific case/transaction lists.

>  Liaise with lawyers on a regular basis to keep up to date with what’s happening in the department and to facilitate information flow to the London and regional team.

Essential skills, qualifications and experience required

>  1 – 2 years of experience in a law firm, professional services organization or corporate environment preferable

>  Strong computer skills, including web-based research, MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel

>  Back End access to web site.

>  Effective communication skills

>  Lateral thinking and the ability to overcome obstacles

>  Sense of humour and can-do attitude

>  Team player

>  Ability to manage multiple projects while prioritizing assignments

>  Ability to build rapport with professional and support staff

>  Strong organizational skills with particular attention to detail

>  Excellent writing skills

>  Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science or equivalent

Graduate Training and Career Development

Working with a Director or experienced Senior Associate, the aim is to give you experience of a wide range of clients and work in both the private and commercial areas. Within each placement, your supervisor will involve you directly in work so you learn from personal experience as well as observation and instruction. The more competence you demonstrate, the more responsibility we will give you.

We provide a wide range of in-house courses to supplement your professional education. You will have appraisal meetings every three months with your Director to review your progress and plan your training to meet the business and your needs.
